ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
This digital exhibition was produced as part of the requirements for our class Florentine Art and Culture: Museum & Library Research and Documentation, and was greatly influenced by the immersive experience of living and studying in Florence, Italy.
In this project, we were tasked with creating an exhibition catalogue based on an aspect of Florentine art or culture that we wanted to explore in greater depth after our initial visits to museums and other cultural institutions throughout Florence. The focus of this exhibition is the building of the dome of Santa Maria del Fiore, as well as its architect, Filippo Brunelleschi and his cultural and artistic impact and legacy.
Under the Shadow of the Dome consists of 10 images pertaining to Brunelleschi and his achievements and legacy culled from various sources, including photographs taken by myself in Florence, as well as images from other sources.
